Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb(notes) publicly defended Albert Haynesworth(notes) on Tuesday, calling the defensive tackle “one of our brothers in the locker room” whom the team cannot “win without him.”
Speaking on his weekly radio show on ESPN 980 and for the cheap nfl jerseys
first time since last week’s preseason finale, McNabb said he believes and hopes Haynesworth will still be a member of the Redskins, the Washington Post reports.
Just Tuesday morning, reports were published that the Redskins are in discussions with the Tennessee Titans for the second time this offseason about a trade involving Haynesworth.
But McNabb says Haynesworth is “a major part in our Dallas Cowboys jersey
defense and everybody knows that.”
Also, McNabb said his injured ankle isn’t at 100 percent yet, but he’ll be ready to start the Redskins’ Week 1 game against Dallas on Sunday.
