16 Dec 10 Brett Favre, Amazingly, Continues To Haunt Green Bay

Matthew Stockman/Getty Images"Green Bay Packers make stunning season turn-around." Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers looked like they were headed for another long season back in October when they went 3-3, losing to the Washington Redskins and the Miami Dolphins. Pack however, have won four straight, including two beat downs against the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys. The two victorys were so bad for the opposing teams that both Brad Childress and Wade Philips lost their head coaching jobs. Improving on penalties since their breakdown against Chicago, turnover ratio where they now rank at +8 and 3rd down conversions, have lead the Green Bay Packers into one of the best NFC teams. Aaron Rodgers is starting to put up some monster numbers, with nearly 600 yards, seven touchdowns, no interceptions and 60 yards running, in his last two games. With numbers like these, Aaron Rodgers may keep his interception total below 13, the same number he had back in 2008, and may even be brought back into the MVP discussion. Green Bay now looks to take the NFC North Crown which they haven't won since 2007 and may even be on their way to take the top seed in the NFC. Wouldn't it be nice to just end it there? To just let it be about how good the Packers have been Reebok Dallas Cowboys #9 Tony Romo Realtree camo Jersey

Do you think it's unfair for the media to keep associating Favre with anything the Packers do?Do you think it's unfair for the media to keep associating Favre with anything the Packers do?Yes73.8%No24.4%I'm Not Sure1.9%Total votes: 160Every time I hear about the Green Bay Packers, whether they're fighting the Dolphins, the Cowboys or anybody, it just has to lead the commentators to talking about Brett Favre and the Vikings. Now, they can talk all they want about what's going on up in Minnesota, but it's been completely ridiculous that they can't stop a Green Bay discussion lead to a Minnesota discussion. As long Brett Favre is playing, or if television cameras are in front of him, Green Bay will never just be Green Bay or Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay. It will always be "Brett Favre's old place." Now I must admit that I'm not entirely innocent in this area as well. I've written multiple articles on Brett Favre and the Vikings. But I always Reebok Denver Broncos #15 Tim Tebow Realtree camo Jersey
thought that after Aaron Rodgers beat him, the commentators would talk about how Aaron Rodgers beat him. But no, it's all about how Brett Favre got beat and how he's screwing things up in Minnesota. It's time the Commentators start treating Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers as simply that: Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
