Chelsea slip up in England, Inter restore parity in Italy, Bayern move up in Germany, while it's as you were in Spain. Here's the latest from the weekend's football.
English Premier League
NFL jerseys
While Manchester United were busy winning the Carling Cup this weekend, Premier League leaders Chelsea blew the chance to extend their title advantage after a stunning 4-2 home loss to fifth-placed Manchester City. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti believes it was just an off-day. For City, it helps their push for fourth spot.
Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, who have a good run home, scored twice late to defeat Stoke City 3-1 and considering they are just three points behind Chelsea, they are in the hunt. Spurs and Liverpool recorded wins to stay in the race for the final Champions League spot.
Down the wrong end, Burnley's home loss to troubled Portsmouth was a major blow for the Clarets who are second last, while Bolton's 1-0 win over Wolverhampton is a major result in the relegation mire. Meanwhile, Sunderland's 0-0 draw with Fulham means they haven't won in 14 league matches and are on a worrying slide.

Weekend Developments From Europe's Top Leagues
The games are running out in Europe's top leagues and clubs are making their move with Barcelona, AS Roma, Chelsea, Bayern and Marseille all firming for their domestic titles. NFL jerseys
Barcelona have made their move in the Spanish title race, after their strong 2-0 El Clasico victory over Real Madrid. Lionel Messi and Pedro got the goals, as they ended Real's 100% home record, heaping the pressure on boss Manuel Pellegrini, although the club haven't given in the fight.
Third-placed Valencia's bad week got worse (after their Europa League exit) after a 3-2 loss at Champoins League chasing Real Mallorca, who hold off surging Sevilla. Rojiblancos defeated Malaga 2-1 on Saturday to retain hope of Champions League football next season, while the chasers, Bilbao, Villarreal and Getafe, all won.
In the drop zone, it isn't looking good for Tenerife, Valladolid and Xerez who remain in the bottom three. New Valladolid boss Javier Clemente couldn't inspire the side in a crucial relegation battle against Tenerife in the Canary Islands which ended 0-0. The result didn't help either side.

Offense
There are questions at quarterback. Jon Kitna (561 ATT, 355 COMP, 4,068 YDS, 18 TDs, 20 INT) looks toSoccer jerseys start, but if he's not accurate either quarterback Dan Orlovsky or Drew Stanton will get the nod. The offensive line allowed 57 sacks last year, making it impossible for the O-unit to function. The receiving squad, which includes, WRs Shaun McDonald (79 REC, 943 YDS, 11.9 AVG, 6 TDs), Roy Williams (64 REC, 838 YDS, 13.1 AVG, 5 TDs) and Calvin Johnson (48 REC, 756 YDS, 15.8 AVG, 4 TDs), is premium. The run game was ranked 31st in the league last season. Draft pick Kevin Smith may help.

2008 Jacksonville Jaguars Preview
Offense
Seven year Soccer jerseysveteran, QB David Garrard (325 ATT, 208 COMP, 2,509 YDS, 18 TDs, 3 INT), was on target last season. He was not only a fine passer, but he proved to be an excellent runner. This season, his targets include experienced and solid wideouts Troy Williamson and Jerry Porter. The running game features Fred Taylor (223 ATT, 1,202 YDS, 5.4 AVG, 5 TDs) and Maurice Jones-Drew (167 ATT, 768 YDS, 4.6 AVG, 9 TDs). The O-line has to step up and cut down on the 31 sacks they allowed in 2007.
Defense
The linebacking squad includes a trio of top performers—WLB Clint Ingram, MLB Mike Peterson and SLB Daryl Smith. In 2007, Smith notched 71 tackles. Free agent corner Terry Cousin and safety Sammy Knight have both fled to other teams. Former Pro Bowl corner Rashean Mathis is a premium player. New DB coordinator Donnie Henderson has established a different system, which should help solidify the group. D-line tackles—John Henderson and Rob Meir—are both fine players. Defensive ends Darrick Harvey and Quentin Groves, both 2008 draftees, will play immediately.
Special Teams
Josh Scobee is a good field goal kicker, but he missed eight contests in 2007. Health is primary for him. Rookie punter Adam Podlesh was off and on in 2007. Jones-Drew was electric on returns.
Overview
Is 2008 the year of the Jaguar? This team could top the division when all is said and done. But in order to get there, Jacksonville must finally beat Indy. Two games versus the Colts and one game each with the Bengals and Browns will define this team's season.

Milwaukee Bucks 45-36
First, soccer jerseys let me say that I am more impressed with the Milwaukee Bucks this season than any other team in the league. Second … it’s a damn shame the team lost blossoming center Andrew Bogut to injury just prior to what looked like a promising postseason run. A narrow win over Philadelphia and losses to Boston and Atlanta tell me Milwaukee is going to miss Bogut’s contributions in a big way. Still, Milwaukee’s impressive 51-28-2 ATS record this season may be something bettors may want to take notice of.
